Projects
A project is a collection of layers on the map that you can access from your library or share with your team. Projects store their contents as references so you can add the same layers to any number of projects.
Unsaved project
When you open Petro Ninja you will see "Unsaved project" at the top of your workspace panel. You can add layers and annotations to the map, but once you close Petro Ninja, your map state will be reset. Click the "Save" button at the top of the workspace panel to create a new project. You will be prompted to give it a name, and once created, you will enter the Personal Project view:
Personal projects
Your project's name will be displayed at the top of the workspace panel. Adding, removing, or reordering layers will update your project automatically. Selecting an existing project of yours from the library will restore the map to the state it was in when you last used it and will keep saving further changes.
- When you create a temporary layer or an annotation that has an "Unsaved" status in its name (for example, as a result of filtering or multi-selection), it will not be saved to the project. Once you save this layer, it will be added to the project automatically.
Shared projects
You can use the "Share" option in the actions menu to share your project's link with your team. Enterprise administrators can also pin projects to the Projects > Shared folder in the library for all their company to access. When you open a shared project, you will see an alert letting you know that you are viewing a read-only project. Your interactions with the map will be limited and you will not be able to save any changes. You can duplicate a shared project to create your own copy with no such restrictions.
