Petro Ninja 3.0

Petro Ninja 3.0

We're excited to show you some big improvements to Petro Ninja! With time, our product has evolved from a basic mobile application into an indispensable data exploration tool trusted by Canada's leading oil and gas corporations.

This latest release is engineered to enhance Petro Ninja's user-friendliness and compatibility with even more data types, styling options, and functionality.

Quick Tips to Get Started

  1. To turn on satellite or change your map stylings, there are now two default layers called “Grids” and “Base Map”.
  2. The right hand panel is now exclusively focused on Layer management (use the + to add new Layers to the map), and you can use the search bar to find anything else available in the Library.
  3. Switch between the active Layer in your bottom table by selecting them in the right hand panel.
  4. You can now drag and resize the bottom table to see more results at once.

Workspace and Layers

The Workspace is your currently visible Layers. Everything in Petro Ninja is now treated as a Layer. Lists of Wells, Pipelines, or other objects are really just subsets of their Source Layer. You can still create these "lists" and export data as before, but working with them is much smoother when we treat them as Layers, and you also have the ability to apply multiple groups of filters at once.

Library

You can open the Library to see all of the available Layers, Lists, and Projects in your account, as well as those available to your Enterprise or made public by Petro Ninja.

This is also where you can import new Lists or GIS Layers, as well as make changes to any Project.
