Linking to Petro Ninja

All wells in Petro Ninja have a URL and in this video, we consider a couple of ways that you could use formulas to generate Petro Ninja links in Excel or PowerBI.

Part of the video covers how you can wrangle with other UWI formats to get the correct 16 digits format with no slashes and dashes. In order for the link to work, the UWI needs to be 16 characters without slashes and dashes (e.g. 102152504309W500). This video focuses on transforming the standard AER format into a useable format for Petro Ninja. The URLs can also be built for pipelines, facilities, and mineral rights. All of the BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire) are good examples of tools that can leverage the Petro Ninja URL, but there are many other tools and systems that could quickly implement this.
